Wakefield District Scouts

Coronavirus Update - Following the latest announcement we are now offering our narrowboats for hire to scouting families & support bubbles from the 12th April until the end of May. All bookings will require a scout master and can be booked using the booking form. We are continuing to accept provisional bookings from scout groups for summer 2021 but please note trips onboard our narrowboats will only take place if the guidelines permit.

Figure of Three Locks Update - Due to damage caused by storms/flooding in early 2020 these locks were closed by The Canal & River Trust to allow repair work to take place. The Canal & River Trust are planning to have the locks available for assisted passage from Easter 2021 subject to Coronavirus restrictions. This will allow groups to head upstream towards Huddersfield and Brighouse as currently all trips, other than evening trips, on our narrowboats can only head downstream towards Castleford and Leeds.
