Scouting Venture
Scouting Venture is a 52ft (16 metre) cruiser-stern narrowboat with a large outside seating area to the rear, a small outside seating area at the front and two sliding panels in the middle. The boat is powered by a new Beta 43 Horsepower Marine Diesel engine which is also used to provide central heating throughout the boat and hot running water to the bathroom and kitchen area. The boat is also fitted with: a radio with multiple speakers, LED lighting throughout, 12v sockets and a Victron Inverter/Charger providing 240v power supply.
On board the boat there are 15 lifejackets, all essential boat equipment including windlasses, handspike, life rings, mooring pins, boat hook, pole and plank and sufficient diesel, gas and water for your journey. The boat can carry up to 15 people including crew for day/evening use and up to 12 people for overnight use.
Inside the boat at the rear there is a bathroom with cassette chemical toilet and washbasin. The width of the bathroom also enables this area to be converted into a changing room.
Next to the bathroom is the kitchen which is fitted with a fully integrated 5 ring gas hob with grill and oven and a fridge with freezer compartment. Also on board are various size pans and cooking utensils, along with crockery for at least 15 people and basic cleaning equipment.
To the front there is a large seating area with tables for up to 12 people which also allows this space to be used as a dining area. The seating can be reconfigured for overnight use to provide 12 bunks: 8 bunks for young people and 4 bunks for Adults. On board there are privacy curtains and dividers for each bunk and to divide the area into a young people sleeping area and an adult sleeping area located at the front of the boat.
